Janvi Karki is a 15 years old school girl from the remote district of Okhaldhunga, who has faced many challenges from an early age. She lives with her grandmother in a rented room near the school. Janvi Karki’s parents have been out of contact with her for years, and during this time, her grandmother has been caring for her. Although Janvi’s grandmother has done everything she can, her health problems and limited resources have made it challenging to fully support Janvi. Janvi has had to face challenges of growing up without the comfort and security of a stable family.
Recognizing Janvi’s struggles, Shenpen stepped in to support her by providing the quality education she deserves, and since Grade 1 Shenpen has been sponsoring her education. Janvi is currently studying in Grade 9 at Prerana English Boarding High School.
